Guild Aims

Postby Rainwaker on Sat Nov 03, 2007 11:44 am

As I was reading some old "Guild of the Week" articles, looking for Guild battle strategies, I realized that our guild needs to know what it aims for, what it stands for, and most of all, what I made it for. After all, if I expect you all to stand loyally at my side, I don't want you following blindly, never knowing what ideals you fight for. ;)
I started the guild after leaving a few that were unactive, or the last one, which allowed spamming, just because the spammer was an officer and personal friend of the leader. Thinking I had what it takes to run one successfully, I decided to make my own, with purpose.
As for where i wish to take us: I want to get the Council on the official GW website, as GotW, and as a somewhat big player in GvG rankings. After all, why not aim high?
As for what ideals I want to reach for: I want to gain a competitive edge while keeping the pure fun of the game open. It is important to let people know that we are a PvE guild and must support each other as a team, or as a Council, if you will. I chose our name carefully, throwing out my original ideas for names for one that would signat that we rely on each other to make decisions and ideas. I want to make builds that work with each other, and am trying to come up with a system for allowing beginner GvGers to participate, yet still have tams that work together. After all, anyone who has gone out farming before knows that one person doesnt always complement anothers skills. 8 lvl 20's don't equal success, even in non-competitive play. I hope to have a ratio of for every 100 people in the guild (the max) no more than 25 officers, probably 20. too many guild have 50 officers. Officeres should be looked to for help and guidance, as reliable, handpicked people, not just recruiters(though thats very important).
If I think of anything else, I'll post it. Feel free to comment.

Excellent, I also feel that everyone should know our aims. Good work.
